Branding for medtech and pharma.
Health brands work under more constraint than any other sector. Regulation, review cycles, and audiences who read with professional scepticism. The job is making complex science clear without making it shallow, and making it through review with the idea intact.
Four years inside healthcare
For four years we worked with Create Health, the specialist health and pharma agency, on brand and campaign work for some of the biggest names in the sector: GSK, Johnson & Johnson, AbbVie, GE Healthcare, Olympus, Otsuka, BD, Widex, Nikon and Tasso.
That's not a claim to be a healthcare agency. It's four years of learning how the sector actually works: how medical, legal and regulatory review shapes what can be said, how congress calendars shape when it gets said, and how ideas survive both.
Clear without being shallow
The instinct in healthcare communication is to simplify until nothing is left, because simple gets through review. The better answer is precision: saying exactly what the science supports, designed so a clinician takes it seriously and a patient actually understands it.
Design carries a lot of that weight. A well-built system of diagrams, typography and structure can hold complexity that a paragraph of approved copy cannot.
Two audiences, one brand
Almost every health brand speaks to professionals and patients at once, and the two read completely differently. One wants evidence and mechanism, the other wants to know what it means for them.
The brands that work don't run two identities. They run one system with two registers, built so the evidence-led material and the human-led material are recognisably the same voice.
Common questions
- Have you worked in regulated healthcare before?
- Yes. Four years alongside Create Health across pharma, devices and diagnostics, so review cycles, claims approval and the difference between HCP and patient communication are familiar ground rather than a surprise.
- Do you work directly with health companies or alongside their agencies?
- Both. We can be the brand partner for a medtech company directly, or the senior design resource inside a specialist agency's team, which is how much of our healthcare work has been delivered.
