Making subsea engineering legible.

The Old School Yard Co manufactures banding and sealing technology for the bottom of the sea: Nickel Alloy 625 and Titanium Grade 2, engineered for the harshest offshore conditions. The engineering is serious. The job was to make it legible to the people who specify it, without dumbing any of it down.

What we did
Brand identity, website design and build

A niche worth taking seriously

Subsea banding is about as specialist as B2B gets. The buyers are engineers and procurement teams who know exactly what they need, care about materials and standards, and have no patience for marketing gloss. A brand for this audience has to earn trust by being precise, not by being loud.

The Old School Yard Co had the expertise and the stock. What it needed was a presence that matched: something that looked as considered as the product and made the capability obvious in seconds.

A confident mark and wordmark, built to read at a glance.

Clarity as the whole strategy

We built the identity around legibility. A confident geometric wordmark, a considered palette and a single green accent to guide the eye rather than decorate. The atmosphere comes from the offshore world the products serve, not from clichés of it.

The materials do the talking: Nickel Alloy 625, Titanium Grade 2, Super Duplex, spelled out with their standards so a specifier can confirm fit at a glance. The design's job is to get out of the way of that information.

Built to be specified

The website has one commercial job: turn a technical enquiry into a conversation. Capability, materials and services are clear from the first screen, and an enquiry is never more than a scroll away. It's fast, it's mobile-friendly for people checking specs on site, and it reads as the work of a company that knows exactly what it does.
