As considered as the cooking.

Loxleys is one of Stratford-upon-Avon's most established independents: family-run, award-winning, with a decade of regulars and thousands of five-star reviews. The website didn't say any of that. We refreshed the brand's look and built a new site that does the room and the food justice, and makes booking the easy part.

Brand refresh, website design and build

An independent worth doing justice to

Loxleys has spent over a decade building the kind of reputation most restaurants never reach: a wall of OpenTable Top 100 awards, thousands of reviews, and a room people come back to for anniversaries and Sunday lunches. The previous website undersold all of it.

The brief wasn't a reinvention. It was to make the site as good as the experience, refresh the look so it felt current, and make sure the thing that pays the bills, a booked table, was never more than a tap away.

A look that matches the room

We refreshed the brand's design language rather than starting over. Loxleys already had equity worth keeping, so the work was to sharpen it: a confident wordmark, a warm dark palette, the gold feather motif, and generous space that lets the food and the room carry the page.

The result reads the way the restaurant feels. Warm, characterful and quietly premium, without tipping into the gloss that makes an independent look like a chain.

The refreshed identity runs across the collateral too, from menus to gift vouchers.

Built to fill tables

A restaurant website has one job above all others, and most forget it. People arrive on their phone, usually deciding where to eat tonight, and they want two things: to see the menu and to book. So reservations sit in reach on every screen, and the menus, lunch, à la carte, pre-theatre, Sunday roast, are easy to find and easy to keep current.

The build is fast and mobile-first, with a journal that carries seasonal menus, offers and news. That keeps the site fresh for regulars and gives it something to be found for, so Loxleys turns up when someone nearby searches for dinner.

Recognition

The awards are the restaurant's, earned in the kitchen and the dining room. The site's job is to show them off properly: OpenTable's Top 100 Brunch and Lunch, Top 100 Romantic, and Top 100 Restaurants in the UK for 2026, alongside more than ten thousand positive reviews.

It's a local project we're proud of. Loxleys is a few minutes from the studio, and it's good to see a Stratford institution online in a way that finally matches the welcome it gives in person.
